Clamation Reflection

In this blog entry/essay, I will be writing about the things I liked and disliked about the clamation. I will also be writing about what I learned.

In the first paragraph I will write about what I liked about the project. One thing I liked is seeing the finished project going. I also liked taking the pictures. I liked this because I like working with cameras. I also liked adding the music. I liked this because I like listening to music. Now this is the last thing that I liked about the project was making the props. I liked this because I liked to see what a few pieces of clay and card board could do. Forming the clay was fun because You can make any shape you want. Those were the enjoyable things I did.

Now I will write about the non enjoyable things I did. Probally the least enjoyable was not getting the scenes turned in on time. Another thing that was not enjoyable was waiting for the stuff to load. I also didn't like putting the narrative and dialouge in. This wasn't real bad, but it was tedious work. One thing that really sucked was changing the deration. For some reason the computers I used wouldn't change them all at once, so I had to do them one by one. That was really boring work. The last thing that I didn't like was when my first scene was changed. Those were my none enjoyable things.

The last body paragraph is about what I learned after I did this project. The most important thing I learned is about the great explorer Leif Eriksson And his voyages. I also learned how to make a clamation. That was cool. I also learned about many other explorers through other peoples projects. I also learned how to use computers better. The last thing that I learned is that this project was fun. That is what I learned.

Those paragraphs are all about the things I liked, disliked, and what I learned.

One of My Favorite Books

One of my favorite books, probably my favorite, is Lord of the Flies. This book is about a group a orphaned boys who's airplane crashes on an island in the middle of the Pacific. After they recover, they pick a leader. The leader finds a conch shell, which is used in meetings. Any person who is holding the conch, can speak. Any one without the conch can't speak except the leader. After awhile, a group of the boys split of and start to become savages. They trey to bring other boys into the tribe, and also tease and torment the younger boys. Finally at the end, if the boys hadn't died (three did) then they had joined the savages. Except for one. The leader. So the savages trey to kill him. They try and try again, but they can't. Finally they burn the island. The old leader then has to flee and they chase him across the island. When they get to the other side and there just about to kill him, they spot a man on the beach. The man is a Navy captain, and he takes them aboard. And that was the end of the book.

That is way this is my favorite book.

P.S. If you want to know way the books called Lord of the Flies, you will have to read it yourself.

My Deer

In this blog entry I will finish hunting entries for a while. Last week, after the Cougs football game at Granite,(which we won , of course) I went with my dad to go hunting. If you haven't all ready read my first hunting entry, then we go to Twisp, WA. When we got there it was late,so we quickly unpacked and went straight to bed. The next morning we got up early. My dad, grandpa, uncle, and two of my great uncles were there and up. We had something quick to eat then set off. When we got to our spot, we got out of are truck then had a quick walk on an old logging road before we cut off into the woods. When we got there we loaded are guns. I was caring a 308. and my dad was caring a 30-06. Then we hiked up a hill to the spot were we could sit down and glass(for people who don't know what glassing is, it's were you look through your binoculars)the hill side above us.We didn't get a deer that trip, but on the evening hunt it was another story. That evening we hiked up another road and to a hill over looking a rocky hill side. When we got to are glassing area, we had barely been sitting for more than 5 minutes when my dad said he had heard a rock roll, then all of the sudden, a big 4 by 4 walked out of the tree line. I got ready to shoot, then let him have it. It took three shots, but finally I got him down. We then hiked over and gutted him,(see last week) and dragged him out. In the end it was an awesome trip.

How to Gut a Deer

In this blog entry I will write about how to gut a deer.
After you have shot and killed the deer, you will have to hike up, or down, to the deer. When you get there you will want to cut off it's stink gland, which are located on the inside of the back leg. After you have done that, cut it up the middle of it's body, from it's anus to it's sternum. Then you take out all the organs in the lower body. After you have done that, you will have to cut out the stretch of skin holding the upper organs in. When you have cut the skin out, then then grab the heart and cut it out, (if you want to keep it to eat, then put it in a plastic sack. You can do the same with the liver.) Wants you have taken the organs out, then take a saw and saw through the sternum to the neck, (this will allow the deer to cool down faster. You will want to do this so flies wont get to the meat.) You are now done. But you still have to drag it down to the truck.

My Life Graph

I made this life graph in Mr. B's class
When I was 3 or 4, my parents and I went on a bike on a bike ride. when we got to the Nichols Brothers Boat Yard, I decided to ride down a hill, which at my age seemed pretty steep and bumpy. So when I started to go down, I could not stop myself, so I crashed. I had to go to the Coupville Hospital and get stitches in my lip. So if you see me and my lips fat, now you know way.

Deer Hunting

My family loves to hunt, especially deer. So in this entry I will wright about the day in the life of a deer hunter.

Every year, around the middle of October, my dad, uncle, grandpa, and I go to Twisp, In eastern Washington. There we meet my cousins at our cabin on Twisp River Road. The next morning we wake up at 6:00 and eat something small. Then we get are coats on, grab are rifles, and head to the truck. After we get to were where going to hunt, we get out and decide what to do. Where we hunt depends on what kind of day it is. If it's a nice day, the deer will be moving around, finding food. But if it's a day where it's raining or snowing, the deer will be hunkered down waiting out the weather. After we hike up to the top of the mountain were on( stopping to glass the hillside every now and then ) we stop to for a while to see if any deer move around. If no deer come in a half an hour to forty-five minutes, we head back down. Now if we got a deer, we would have to gut it, But I'll save that for next week.

Grand Canyon Emberasing Moment

Do you know what happens when you have the Grand Canyon, no port-a-Potty,and myself at the age of five. Extremely worried parents.

It all started when my family went to Arizona for a vacation. After a few days of site seeing, like going to small towns and famous landmarks, we decided to go to one of the most famous of all. The Grand Canyon! After we looked around a little( but not getting to close ) I had to go. So after I looked around a little, but not finding a port-a potty, I decided to go behind a tree. And of course, being five, I thought my parents knew were I was. Meanwhile, my parents realize there missing someone. So now every buddy's running around looking for me, and making sheer I hadn't fall in into the canyon. Finally they find me going to the bathroom behind the tree. And man was I in trouble.

So after reading this story, you now know you should make your younger brother or sister go to the bathroom before you go to the Grand Canyon, it will save you some worry.
