My Deer

In this blog entry I will finish hunting entries for a while. Last week, after the Cougs football game at Granite,(which we won , of course) I went with my dad to go hunting. If you haven't all ready read my first hunting entry, then we go to Twisp, WA. When we got there it was late,so we quickly unpacked and went straight to bed. The next morning we got up early. My dad, grandpa, uncle, and two of my great uncles were there and up. We had something quick to eat then set off. When we got to our spot, we got out of are truck then had a quick walk on an old logging road before we cut off into the woods. When we got there we loaded are guns. I was caring a 308. and my dad was caring a 30-06. Then we hiked up a hill to the spot were we could sit down and glass(for people who don't know what glassing is, it's were you look through your binoculars)the hill side above us.We didn't get a deer that trip, but on the evening hunt it was another story. That evening we hiked up another road and to a hill over looking a rocky hill side. When we got to are glassing area, we had barely been sitting for more than 5 minutes when my dad said he had heard a rock roll, then all of the sudden, a big 4 by 4 walked out of the tree line. I got ready to shoot, then let him have it. It took three shots, but finally I got him down. We then hiked over and gutted him,(see last week) and dragged him out. In the end it was an awesome trip.

That sounds like a fun trip. I can't wait to go hunting. I've only walked with a hunting group, I've gone on both deer and pheasant trips. I like pheasant hunting the best. I think I'm going to get my licence this summer.

My grandpa went hunting for elk last year and got a really big one. I dont really like hunting that much. I feel kinda bad for the deer. Sounds like you had fun though. Your bckpack is magical.

That's awsome. Ihave always wanted to go deer hunting. How many deer have you taken down? Do you eat the deer or do you mount the deer on the wall. When did you get your hunting licences.

Congrats, Dane! I know that you've been hunting for a long time. I bet it was a great feeling to finally get a deer. I really like how you described what happened, step by step. I bet that it's nice in Twisp. I've never been there, but I want to go some day.

Sounds really fun. We have a peacock that lives at our house and it is a nuisance. I think you should come over and we should terminate it. I think an awesome high school car, although you need to register it like a machine gun, would be a Russian BMP. It is an armored vehicle from the Russian Military and it is widely available for sale. See Ya.

Dane, that sounds like a blast! Was that your first deer? That sounds like a lot of fun going with your dad and grandpa. Were you using a powerful gun? This was a well written blog entry.
